After cutting and rewinding, the industrial coils are unwound, cut and rewound to obtain smaller, conductive and ready-made coils, usable for further processing with packaging machines as well as for industrial use. The coils represent an instant solution for wrapping and packing large products and are tested for the strongest packaging. Industrial coils are particularly suitable for manufacturers in the plastics sector who cannot produce them themselves for later processing.

They are always available in standard sizes. At the customer's request, we can make custom coils, thicknesses and densities that best suit the desired packaging. We supply them in different types of foils such as BOPP (bio oriented poly propylene), CPP (cast poly propylene), BOPLA (bio oriented poly lactic acid), PET (poly ester) and heat shrinkable foils. They can be smooth PP (unperforated), microperforated (MP), macroperforated (MA), printed and unprinted.

The COILS subspecies are our final products:

  • HALF-SLEEVE A half-sleeve is formed when a larger coil is cut from flat foil into a smaller coil and folded mechanically with a single fold.

  • STRAPS The strap is formed when we cut a larger coil from flat foil to a smaller coil and machine-perform the perforation process. The type of perforation depends on what the final products for the straps will be. Types of straps: coil with full strap, strap with edge and strap with register.

  • LAMINATED COILS (Duplex coils) The laminated coil is created by a lamination production process that joins two different types of foil of different thicknesses. Designed for customers who have a packing machine. Laminated foil is commonly used to store food and is thicker and allows for a larger barrier to preserve the product, which can also be frozen.

We make bags from different types of foils, according to the individual needs of the customer. We advise you to identify the best foils offered by the market with which the packaging should be made. For each type of product, the type of packaging is specified, which is adapted to each customer's request. The bags are intended for the packaging of food products (bread, pastries, fruits, vegetables) and products for general use.

The bags are available in clear or colored material and printed in flex on request. We can apply any print from one to eight colors. Bio oriented poly propylene (BOPP), for example, is more suitable if you are looking for rigidity and mechanical strength in packaging. However, when the product requires good tear resistance and excellent welding properties, we recommend cast poly propylene (CAST). For any other specific request, we can provide assistance and advice on the best type of material that is useful for the best preservation of the product.

Foils

Foil for food industry

Food packaging requires careful differentiation according to the type of food to be preserved and the needs of the marketing strategy of each company. Sales depend on how the consumer sees the appearance of food packages. When packaging food, we must be very careful when using a sterile and uncontaminated product. From a microbiological point of view, foil has advantages in the packaging of bakeryproducts, pasta, cured meat products, fruits, vegetables and frozen foods.

These are also the most important sectors in the use of plastic packaging. Due to direct contact with food, it is important that the packaging is flexible. Flexible packaging would most simply be described as packaging or part of packaging whose shape can be easily adapted. It is because of this property that we can pack practically anything from it, from solids, liquids, gels, powders and fats. The area is governed by a series of rules. It is by studying the specifics of each type of food and its variants that we can recommend the foil that will best improve its taste and preservation.

Types of foils

CAST- POLYPROPYLENE CAST

Main features and applications:

  • The foil provides high standards in terms of esthetic properties, as it offers excellent transparency and gloss of the finished product.

  • It is able to prevent yellowing of the contents of packaging (a sought-after feature for both the food and textile sectors), so that due to this strong aesthetic property, many companies choose it to create gift packages.

  • CAST foil represents an alternative to PVC, which enables not only significant savings in production costs, but also greater attention to the environment, as it can be disposed of and recycled with better costs and methods.

  • Used when you want to get an excellent weld and a resistant finished product that would not be torn by the contents (good resistance to high temperatures, tearing and puncture).

  • For packaging bread and bakery products that require less rigidity.

  • Offers a good barrier to moisture, oils and fats.

BOPP-BIO ORIENTED POLY PROPYLENE FOIL

Main features and applications:

  • Coextruded bio-oriented polypropylene is rigid, which allows the processing of thin foil, while maintaining its flexibility, which is three times better than CAST polypropylenes and eight times more than PE (polyethylene).

  • The bi-orientation process takes place at very high temperatures, close to the melting point of the plastic film, making it desirable in packaging requiring high temperature sterilization.

  • The foil offers great transparency, brightness and gloss, excellent wet barrier properties and good tensile strength.

  • Are the best choice for flexible packaging for both food products and other purposes that always require a resistant, insulating wrapper.

  • For packing bread, biscuits, pasta, dried fruit, chocolate, candies, snacks, cheeses, smoked and processed meat.

  • In addition, due to its slippery and anti-scratch properties, this film is ideal for printing.

BOPP-ANTI FOG - COEXSTRUDED POLYPROPYLENE AGAINST MIST

Main features and typical applications:

  • Particular attention should be paid to food packaging, which continues to convert and produce steam even after harvest, such as fresh vegetables and fruit.

  • The release, albeit minimal, of water vapor triggers the ugly "rose" effect, which simultaneously affects the quality of the product and the visibility of the packaging.

  • In fact, without the usual non-fog-free coextruded polypropylene film, this process cannot be prevented.

  • The foil has a special three-layer coextruded film: the inner shell, properly treated with the appropriate components and in accordance with the law, can actually prevent the formation of condensate, allowing vegetables and fruits to breathe.

  • Foil with excellent barrier properties for water vapor.

  • Discrete barrier properties for oxygen and aromas.

PET - POLY ESTER

Main features and typical applications:

  • Compared to other films, PET film has higher tensile strength, excellent dimensional stability, low moisture absorption and good physical properties in a fairly wide temperature range.

  • Has exceptional UV resistance, excellent electrical properties, good optical clarity, high gloss and good gas barrier, but only moderate moisture protection properties.

  • Foil is often an excellent choice for more demanding applications in the food and non-food industries.

  • Because it provides greater adhesion of inks, adhesives and metal, the foil is ideal for quality printing and lamination.

  • It has a relatively high melting point, making it suitable for applications requiring sterilization at high temperatures.

  • The foil can be metallized, resulting in improved gas barrier and vapor properties for demanding cases where the long shelf life of the product is important (eg for coffee, potato chips and pretzels, as well as in microwave and medical packaging).

BOPLA- BIOLOGICALLY RESIN

Main features and typical applications:

  • BoPLA foil represents a new generation of biodegradable foils, which greatly contribute to improving the durability of modern packaging.

  • It is made from renewable plant-derived materials, in particular maize starch and biologically based aliphatic polyesters such as polylactic acid (PLA).

  • The foil is biodegradable into carbon dioxide, water and biomass by microbial digestion.

  • In many applications, PLA films can replace oil-based plastics such as polypropylene, polyester or polyethylene and provide two key environmental benefits: TÜV AUSTRIA certified biological origin and compostability according to DIN EN13432: 2000- 12.

  • The foil is designed to cover a wide range of uses of food packaging (fresh and dry food) and non-food.

  • The foil has good mechanical properties, high stiffness, good oxygen barrier, semi-permeability to moisture, provides good anti-fog properties, good sliding properties, resistance to oils, greases and alcohol, inherited antistatic properties, and excellent roll retention.

  • Enables quality printing and lamination.

This logo may be used for finished products made from this intermediate and certified with the number 7P (7P0725) as finished products at DIN CERTCO (9G0108).

HEAT SHRINKABLE POLYOLEFIN FOIL (LDPE and LLDPE)

Main features and typical applications:

  • Heat-shrinkable polyolefin-based film has a very wide range of applications in the world of packaging, thanks to its heat-shrinkable function even at low temperatures, which allows the film to shrink in contact with heat.

  • Both foils are characterized by good clarity, good barrier to moisture and gas, can be thermally sealed, strong and very flexible.

  • However, they have some differences that make them more suitable for different applications. For example, LDPE is often chosen for its high clarity, ease of processing, and high gloss. LLDPE, however, is chosen for its tensile strength (i.e., toughness) and thermal tightness. LDPE is usually more commonly used in food and non-food packaging and in shrinkage. LLDPE is more commonly used in garbage bags and stretch films.

  • For wrapping food such as cakes, sweets, ice, ice cream, bakery products, bread and non-food wrapping.

  • Its advantages are low specific weight, excellent optical properties.

  • Chemical resistance to fatty oils and solvents.

  • Good mechanical properties.
